The Light That Waits
Reflection
There are moments when
the soul seems to walk through a narrow corridor where light hides behind the
shadows of doubt. Hope, once so vivid, now feels like a fragile thread, almost
imperceptible. Yet it is precisely there - in the instant when everything seems
suspended - that God lights His flame. Divine light does not arrive with noise
or haste; it manifests as a gentle breath that touches the weary heart and
reminds it that God’s love never fades. Waiting, when lived with faith, becomes
an act of trust: it is the time when the Lord works in silence, preparing the
miracle we have not yet seen. Patience is the altar of hope. Whoever knows how
to wait learns to see the invisible - because every delay is a lesson in love,
and every silence is a promise of revelation.
Inspiration
Remember Abraham, who
waited decades for the promise; remember Hannah, who wept in the temple until
Samuel was born; remember Mary, who kept everything in her heart until the
cross became resurrection. The light that waits is the same that sustains the
world - the certainty that God’s timing is perfect, even when ours seems slow.
Today, the Lord invites you to trust in the light you cannot yet see. Perhaps
your path is wrapped in mist, but every step taken in faith is a spark that
illuminates the next. Do not fear the time of waiting, for it is there that the
heart matures, faith is purified, and grace is revealed.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to wait
without discouragement. When time stretches long, give me the serenity of one
who trusts. When hope falters, rekindle it with Your light. May I recognize You
in the small delays, and may each day of waiting be a day of faith. Make my
patience a testimony of love, and my hope a beacon for those who walk in
darkness. Amen.
