The Light That Waits in the Shadow
Reflection
There are moments when
life seems to sink into a thick twilight, where every step feels uncertain and
every hope appears asleep. Yet it is precisely in the shadow that light learns
to wait. Faith is not only the flash that dispels darkness but also the
patience that endures the night.
Human beings, so often
impatient, forget that spiritual growth does not happen in haste but in
perseverance. The shadow is not punishment; it is an interval - the space where
the heart matures and the spirit strengthens. It is there that God works in
silence, shaping the clay of the soul so that, when the sun returns, its glow
is purer.
The light that waits in
the shadow is the hope that never fades, even when the world seems to collapse.
It is the gaze that, instead of fleeing from pain, transforms it into wisdom.
It is love that, though wounded, continues to believe.
Inspiration
Imagine a candle
burning in a dark room. Its flame is small but enough to reveal the outline of
things. Such is faith: it does not need to be grand to illuminate the path. It
only needs to exist.
Every shadow we cross
is a disguised lesson. It teaches us to see the invisible, to hear the
inaudible, to feel what cannot be touched. The light that is born from the
shadow is the truest, because it has been earned.
When the heart learns
to recognise God even in absence, the shadow ceases to be fear and becomes
promise.
Prayer
Lord, when the shadow
surrounds me, remind me that Your light never goes out. Give me courage to
wait, even when I cannot see the way. Teach me to turn fear into trust and
silence into prayer. May each night be the prelude to a new dawn, and may my
faith remain a constant flame, even when the wind blows strong. Amen.
