Starting Again with
Confidence
On
this Monday, which marks the beginning of a new week and, for many, the
continuation of challenges that seem to give no respite, we are invited to look
within and rediscover the strength we so often believe we have lost. Today’s
theme - Starting Again with Confidence - is not only a spiritual appeal but
also a profound exercise in awareness, courage, and hope.
We
all know moments when the weight of previous days threatens to spill into the
present. There are memories that insist on lingering, worries that accumulate,
expectations that press upon us. Yet every dawn brings with it a silent truth: life
renews itself, and we too can be renewed.
Starting
again does not mean erasing the past, but integrating it with wisdom. It is
recognising that what we have lived has shaped who we are, but does not
determine who we will become. Confidence is born precisely from this balance -
between what we have learned and what we can still build. When we trust, we
make room for grace, clarity, and serenity to dwell within us.
Today,
perhaps it is necessary to take a step we have been postponing. Perhaps it is
time to release a resentment, to forgive someone - or to forgive ourselves.
Perhaps this is the moment to resume a project, reorganise priorities, take a
deep breath and say: “I can begin again, and I am not alone on this path.”
Confidence
is not the absence of fear; it is the decision to move forward despite it. It
is believing that there is a greater purpose, even when we cannot see it
clearly. It is allowing light to enter through the cracks, even when the door
feels too heavy to open.
May
this Monday, therefore, be an invitation to lightness. May we look at the day
with renewed eyes, certain that every gesture, no matter how small, contributes
to the building of something greater. Starting again is an act of humility, but
also of greatness. It is recognising that we are a work in progress, and that
life continues to offer opportunities for growth.
Prayer of the Day
Lord,
at the beginning of this week, I place in Your hands my fears, my doubts, and
everything that weighs on my heart. Grant me the courage to start again with
confidence, the wisdom to learn from the past, and the serenity to walk with
hope. May each step be guided by Your light, and may I find strength where I
once saw fragility. Stay with me today and always, and may Your peace dwell
within me. Amen.
