When the heart grows still, God speaks
Reflection
There
are days when the world feels unbearably noisy. Tasks pile up, worries tighten,
and the soul feels like a boat shaken by winds it did not choose. It is
precisely on those days that God’s invitation becomes clearer: “Be still. Let
Me be God in your life.”
Inner
silence is not the absence of sound; it is the presence of meaning. It is the
place where we stop fighting what we cannot control and allow God to remind us
who we are: loved, protected, sustained. When the heart grows still, anxiety
loses strength, fear loses its voice, and hope finds room to breathe again.
Today,
God does not ask you for speed, performance, or perfection. He asks only for a
moment of surrender, a moment in which you lay down the invisible weapons with
which you have been trying to solve everything on your own. He knows the weight
you carry, the doubts you hide, the battles you fight in silence. And still, He
tells you: “You don’t need to be strong all the time. I am your strength.”
To
quiet the heart is an act of trust. It is recognising that God works even when
we cannot see, that He prepares paths even when we do not understand, that He
opens doors even when everything seems closed. It is allowing His peace to
become greater than the noise of the world.
Today,
let God speak to your heart. Perhaps He will tell you to rest. Perhaps He will
remind you that you are not alone. Perhaps He will show you that what troubles
you does not have the final word. Whatever it may be, He always speaks with
love, with truth, with care.
Inspiration
May
this day be an invitation to serenity. Breathe deeply. Pause. Feel the presence
of God surrounding you like a mantle of light. He is with you not only in great
moments, but also in small gestures, in silent hours, in uncertain steps. Be
still… and let grace unfold.
Prayer
Lord,
today I place my restless heart in Your hands. Grant me the grace to stop, to
breathe, to listen to You. May Your sacred silence calm my fears, and may Your
peace fill the spaces where anxiety tries to dwell.
Teach
me to trust in Your timing, to rest in Your arms, and to walk with the
certainty that I am never alone.
Speak
to my heart, Lord, and may Your voice be my strength and my peace today. Amen.
